L'arte sacra negli oggetti per il culto artigianali

L’arte sacra ha una duplice valenza: da una parte soddisfa un bisogno primario fondamentale che è quello spirituale e impalpabile, e dall’altra si materializza attraverso forme simboliche ma concrete, da alcuni considerate come un reale bisogno di dimostrare la propria Fede: gli oggetti per il culto.

Design, funzionalità e senso religioso

Da dove nasce l’idea di creare un modello che rappresenti il giusto compromesso tra design, funzionalità e senso religioso? Questa domanda non ha una risposta univoca, in quanto l’idea può essere frutto del cliente, dell’artigiano oppure ancora essere l’imitazione di un modello antico. 

E a volte l'idea è l’unione delle tre risposte.

I nostri articoli religiosi, arredi sacri e oggetti per la chiesa nascono nel design tradizionale e vivono nel design moderno, in uno sposalizio che li rende unici, antichi e moderni insieme.

Il discorso è molto tecnico, ma può risultare interessante per gli amanti dei prodotti come i nostri, e per coloro che di oggetti sacri, articoli religiosi, arredi sacri e oggetti per la chiesa, la liturgia e il culto abbiano fatto una passione. 

Quanto riportato è stralcio della notevole tesi di laurea di Maria Luisa Giudici ed Emanuele Consigli, presentata al Politecnico di Milano, per la Facoltà di Architettura, nel 2003.

Il suo titolo è "Il visibile dell’Invisibile - Vetrina per l’esposizione di oggetti sacri con esemplificazione riferita al Tesoro del Duomo di Milano".

Welcome to the website of Segatel Snc, an artisan company leader in Italy in the production of church ornaments, religious supplies and liturgical objects since 1960.

Although our Art and our Passion for this work are even bigger than a website can show (photo!), our online pictures present most of our products, organized by category. Each beloved work we provide is available in several variations, broadly stated in each individual product's description: we are also at your disposal to provide workings at your request, based both on your designs as well as designed by our staff up on the basis of the costumers' wishes.

Simply send us an e-mail or give us a call to have more informations about modalities and timing. We can also perform restoration of ancient artifacts and newer objects that have been damaged in some way.

The artisan firm Segatel was established in Milan in 1960.
The founder, Enzo Segatel, moved to Pero in 1985, and his son Marco and his daughter Sara continue still today the production and sale of artistic manufacts: chalices, ciboria, ostensoria, monstrances, candlesticks, tabernacles, Ways of the Cross are just a few examples of our many articles, all handmade, all strictly made in Italy.

Our artisan workshop, where is also located the sale of our production, is in Pero, in the province of Milan (Italy).

Holy ornaments and religious items

The correct definition of what we produce is "holy ornaments", or "religious items", but these terms do not express completely the spiritual warmth our creations instill. Each article proposed was conceived, designed, created and finished with care, devotion and religious attention to details.

The restoration of holy ornaments, religious items and liturgical items is for us a passion and a task, resulting from many years of experience in this field. The restoration is not only an art, but a mind-set, a way of approaching an object with the intent to give it its rightful original majesty. It is an attempt to preserve and restore the items to their original state without destroying completely the effects of time..
